Pipe fittings form basic parts in any fire safety setup. They link pipe sections. They turn water direction. They make side paths. They shift sizes. They offer safe links to pumps, valves, hydrants, sprinklers, standpipes and other key gear. In a fire, these parts must handle strong inside forces. Such forces often go from 175 psi to 500 psi. They stay fully without leaks. They fight rust from water and outside weather.

Threaded fittings mark one of the early and still usual link ways in fire safety pipes. This holds true in smaller size parts.
· Fire department connections (Siamese inlets)
· Hose valves and threaded outlets on standpipes
· Sprinkler drops and branch lines in light-hazard occupancies
· Temporary test connections and drain valves
The key pluses of threaded joints lie in their plain design, fair low price and simple take-apart for upkeep or checks. Yet, they usually limit to name sizes of 4 inches or less in most fire safety rules. This stems from harder leak-free joins at bigger sizes and more turns. Too much tighten can harm threads. Also, many put-together and take-apart times may weaken the close over time.
Grooved mechanical-joint fittings have turned into the field norm for most new fire sprinkler, standpipe and private fire service main setups around the world.
The setup uses a rolled or cut groove close to the end of both pipe and fitting. A two-part or split coupling house then presses a tough rubber gasket. This gasket is often EPDM. It wraps around pipe ends as bolts tighten. Thus, it forms a firm, force-tight joint. No weld, thread or exact flange match is needed.
· Rigid couplings – zero-flex joints for stable alignment
· Flexible couplings – allow angular deflection (typically ½°–1° per joint) and axial movement
· Reducing couplings – transition between different pipe sizes
· Shouldered couplings – used mainly in mining and specialized systems
The usual line covers 90° and 45° elbows, same and smaller tees, mechanical outlet tees. These add sides without cutting pipe parts. It includes crosses, caps, plugs, grooved-to-threaded adapters, grooved-to-flanged adapters, drain elbows with test ports, and air-release eccentric reducers. Special drain elbows and test elbows stop water build in open lines. They also ease regular system tests.
Grooved setups cut setup time a lot. This often drops by 40–60% from welded or threaded pipes. They remove open-fire risks in build work. They bring natural bend that fits shake moves.
Flanged links give the top strength and most lasting joint kind often used in fire safety pipes.
Flanged fittings stand as the top pick at fire pump pull and push headers. They link to big butterfly valves, gate valves and check valves. They connect fire department links with large inlets. They shift between different pipe stuffs. They suit spots with strong shakes, mainly near diesel fire pumps.
Flanged joints bring great firmness and power. This makes them perfect for high-burden and high-shake spots. They let easy take-apart for checks, fixes or pump/valve upkeep. The chief minuses include higher stuff cost, more weight, harder line-up needs.
· 90° standard elbows
· 45° and 22.5° elbows (lower friction loss)
· Long-radius elbows for high-flow mains
· Equal tees
· Reducing tees
· Concentric and eccentric reducers
· Caps and plugs
· Blind flanges
· Drain valves and test elbows
· Grooved × grooved eccentric reducers for air release
FLUIDO acts as a pro manufacturer and supplier of UL/FM-certified ductile iron grooved pipe fittings. These fit fire safety uses. The item line holds rigid and flexible couplings, 90° and 45° elbows, same and smaller tees, mechanical tees, crosses, reducers, caps, grooved flange adapters and varied special goods. All get made to ASTM A536 rules with exact cut and steady red RAL 3000 epoxy coat.
