Butt weld cap is a kind of butt weld fittings.

Butt weld end caps are used for sealing the pipe in the end of pipe, we also call it butt welding end cap.

The key specifications for buttweld fittings are the ASME B16.9 (carbon and alloy fittings) and the MSS SP 43 (that integrates ASME B16.9 for stainless steel, duplex, and nickel alloy BW fittings).

Butt welding fittings can be used at high pressure piping connections.They are strong and have a long service life.Besides they are rather cheap to buy and deploy.
